About Us
We are the Scalise family - Fred, Jeannie, Adam, Eric and Wylie. We are the new proprietors of the Paradox General Store and Deli. Our family loves the Adirondack Mountains. Paradox has become a special place for us, with loons and birds waking us in the morning, and serene nights of tree frogs and the occasional howling coyotes.
We are from Belchertown, MA but have been spending as much time in the Adirondacks as possible for the past ten years. I grew up just south of the blue line in Gloversville and Fred is a native of Springfield, Massachusetts. We have three grown sons, Adam, Eric and Wylie.
Paradox General Store will now remain open year round. Our stock and deli offerings will change with the seasons as needed. So please stop in and don’t be afraid to tell us what you are looking for that we may be able to offer. I look forward to meeting everyone and being a part of this wonderful community. So please, stop in and say hello!!
